Lawyers met Maulana Nizami in Kashimpur jail; gets instruction to file review petition on time.
A delegation of lawyers today (16th March, 2016) met Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer and former minister Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami at the Kashimpur Central Jail. Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda, Advocate Mashiul Alam and Barrister Nazib Momen were the members of the lawyer’s delegation. During the meet, Jamaat Ameer asked the lawyers to file review petition within the timeframe.
The full verdict of the Appellate Division has been handed over to Jamaat Ameer today through the jail authority. Detained Jamaat Ameer pointed out different facts and issues of the case to his lawyers and said, he has been sentenced to death on the basis of some false and concocted charges. The government has implicated him with two incidents of Pabna districts and produced false witnesses before the court to ensure his conviction. KUALA LUMPUR: Ahli Parlimen Kuala Terengganu hari ini menggesa PAS negeri bijak menggunakan peluang terhadap situasi politik yang disifatkan semakin membimbangkan.
Kata Raja Kamarul Baharin Shah Raja Ahmad, hasil pertemuan bersama Adun PKR negeri, Azan Ismail (Bandar) difahamkan bekas Menteri Besar Ahmad Said (Adun Kijal) bakal membuat pengumuman penting pada minggu depan.
Pengumuman ini dipercayai berkait rapat dengan tindakan susulannya selepas mengusulkan undi tidak percaya kepada penggantinya Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
Jelasnya ini kerana selepas daripada membangkitkan usul itu 8 Mac lalu, Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu menarik kembali peruntukan daripada Adun Kijal itu.
"Tindakan terakhir BN menarik balik peruntukan kepada Ahmad seolah-olah beliau parti pembangkang dan ini menimbulkan persepsi baru.

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS president Hadi Awang's call for Malay-Muslims in the country to unite and fight against the DAP is akin to the National Civics Bureau's (BTN) propaganda, says Amanah man Khalid Samad.
In expressing his disappointment, the Shah Alam MP, who is also Amanah's communication chief, pointed out that it would be more becoming of an Islamic leader to call for a fight against corruption, embezzlement, tyranny, power abuse, racism instead of spewing BTN-fashioned propaganda.
"Looks like Hadi has been influenced by BTN's propaganda that has long been calling DAP a racist, chauvinistic party.
"As an Islamic leader it would be better to urge Muslims to oppose corruption, embezzlement, tyranny, power abuse, racism which are the root problems faced by Muslims and Malays in the country,” he said.
